The only hospital in Nigeria doing Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP) since 2018, using different types of lasers, including 100 Watts laser, the 120 Watts Laser (Moses Technology) and the most powerful laser ever invented for human surgery, the 150 Watts Laser. The first hospital in Africa to acquire the 120 Watts Lumenis Laser (Moses Technology). The first hospital in Nigeria where the following were done: Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate(HoLEP), Laser Lithotripsy for kidney stones, Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL) for kidney stones, Laparoscopic Radical Prostatectomy for prostate cancer. The first in Nigeria to be given a Federal Government Award for Minimal Access Surgery.
